Kids’ Saturday

Kids’ Saturday will be April 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Ashley Public Library. Emily Fisk, Washington County Health Department will show children how to brush their hair, brush their teeth, wash their hands, and clip their nails. They will also learn how to take a shower and the importance of wearing clean clothes. Each child will pick out a NEW book for their very own! They will also select their own toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and deodorant.

Nancy Myers will read a book about good hygiene and discuss that with the children.

Grade school children are welcome to attend Kids’ Saturday. There is no charge to attend, but registration is helpful to make sure we have enough supplies for everyone. Register by calling 618.485.2295 or email maindesk@ashleypubliclibrary.org

Kids’ Saturday

Children attended Kids’ Saturday on March 9 at 10:30 a.m. Nancy Myers read the children a book about eclipse. The children watched a couple videos from NASA about the eclipse on our new TV. They received a viewer to watch the eclipse on Monday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. Kathleen Janvier helped them make sunprint pictures. They really enjoyed picking out a new book and bookmark to take home.

Our next Kids’ Saturday will be April 13 at 10:00 a.m.
